The ceiling has been decay and needs new repainting or maintenance. I observe the toilet water pump not functioning well which cause the water always flow without stop. This mean wasted of water and failed to practise"Amalan Hijau"concept of environment.

About

The Kuching Wetlands National Park is located approximately 15 kilometres from Kuching town and covers an area of 6,610 hectares which reaches Sibu Laut and Salak rivers. It was recognized as national park in July 2002 and it was formerly known as remains of the former Sarawak Mangrove Forest Reserve which were protected in 1924. The park is mostly comprised of a saline mangrove system that includes networks of marine waterways and tidal creeks interconnecting the two major rivers. Recognising the ecological significance and tourism potential of the area, the Sarawak State Government is currently formulating a management plan for Kuching Wetlands. In November 2005, Malaysia designated the park as a Ramsar site, a wetland of international importance. The park is also acts as the home of at least three predominantly creatures such as the proboscis monkey scientifically known as Nasalis Larvatus, the long tailed macaques and mudskippers as well as white bellied sea eagles and horsehoe crabs.

How To Get There

From Kuala Lumpur International Airport, it will take around 1 hour and 40 minutes to reach Kuching International Airport by using airlines such as Malaysia Airlines, Air Asia and to Malindo airlines. Once you reach the airport, you can rent a car or take a taxi to go Kuching Wetlands National Park.

Mount Santubong treks

Mount Santubongย is a mountain which located about 35ย kilometres north of the state capitalย Kuching town. It only takes only about 45 minutes to reach from the city centre. The Santubong area is one of the best places in Sarawak to see the rare Irrawaddy dolphin, finless porpoises and Indo-pacific humpback dolphins are sighted in the waters off Santubong. There is a well-kept Malay village at the foot of Mount Santubong. For precautions and comfort, you should wear a pair of walking shoes with good grip and bring at least large bottles of drinking water per person to keep you hydrated during trekking.
