Kolej Datu Patinggi Abang Haji Abdillah is a boarding secondary school located in Kuching, Sarawak. The school is widely known as Kolej and the students of Kolej bear the name Kolejians. The college is located at Lorong 1, Petra Jaya. It has 299 male and 498 female students, bringing the total number of students to 797. The total of the teachers are 61 teachers. Kolej Datu Patinggi Abang Haji Abdillah was officially opened on 29 September 1978 by the third Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Hussein Onn. Its original purpose was to serve as a Junior College for Form 6 students who obtained good results in their Form 5 examination.

The palace is not normally open to the public, although the landscaped gardens are which can be reach by a boat ride across the Sarawak River.

Fort Margherita

Fort Margherita was built in 1879 by Charles Brooke, Rajah of Sarawak. It stands on the other side of Sarawak River and can be seen from the Kuching Waterfront. The original structures of cannons, cannon balls, guns, prisoners’ cells are still remains there. The old fort has been converted to a Police Museum that has a display of weapons, opium dens and different forms of criminal punishment.
