Sungai Gadut Station is a landmark of commuter train station situated next to the residential neighborhood of Taman PInggiran Senawang in the state of Negeri Sembilan, which is about twenty minutes away from the town center going through Jalan Tampin. It forms part of the Tanjung Malim to Gemas route operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTM), being the final stop for the southbound commuter trains serving the town of Seremban.

Named after the nearby small town of Sungai Gadut which is the second most important industrial area of Senawang, this station was opened to the public from 2011 onwards as a part of the initiative from KTM to expand their commuter services. This station has four island platforms in which only one is used for commuter train services, with facilities to purchase tickets via ticket counters as well as Touch ‘N Go reload cards. Unlike other stations, it is the only elevated station of its kind. The benefit of such design is to bypass the road traffic and to avoid the railway from becoming blocking the road users, considering the station comes in at a time where the town is maturing.

Besides Sungai Gadut Station serving the Seremban Line, other stations include Seremban, Senawang, Tiroi, Labu and Nilai going north. The Sungai Gadut Komuter Station is located on the southern part of Seremban which is just past the town of Senawang, alongside Jalan Tampin that leads to Pedas and Rembau.

How to Get There

By Car

People driving from Kuala Lumpur may drive through the North-South Expressway (PLUS) / E2 exiting at Senawang before continuing the journey towards Sungai Gadut Station. The journey could take up around an hour or less depending on the current traffic situation.

By Train

From Kuala Lumpur International Airport, visitors can catch the Express Rail Link (ERL) train which goes to KL Sentral/Bandar Tasik Putrajaya/Cyberjaya/Salak Tinggi/KLIA route. There, one can board the Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) southbound coach and stop by the Sungai Gadut station before opting for public transportation to go around the area.

By Bus

The nearest express bus terminal is located at Terminal One, Seremban. Take the trip directly to Seremban from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) terminal using express bus services such as Sanwa Tours, KPB Express and Kesatuan Express. From here, hop on a local route bus to Sungai Gadut Station.
