Nilai is a town located in Seremban District of the state Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. Nilai is made up of 46% of Chinese, 31% of Malays and 22% of Indians. Nilai is quite close to major cities such as Kuala Lumpur. It is only 50.4 kilometres away. The distance of Nilai to Putrajaya on the other hand is only 39.4 kilometres and 17 kilometres from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Due to its location that is close to major destinations, Nilai is rapidly growing into a developing town.

Nilai homes several universities and colleges such as Nilai University, INTI International University, Manipal International University, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia and Islamic University College of Malaysia. This has made the town an education town and is also filled with students from all over the world.

Several major shopping malls such as Nilai 3 Wholesale Centre, Nilai Square, Mydin, Giant Hypermarket and Tesco Hypermarket focuses on sale for cloths, textile and also other household items. It attracts people as these goods are sold as a wholesale at a cheap price.

How to Get There

By Plane

One can take a flight to Kuala Lumpur from all countries around the world and land at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Some of the airline that makes a trip to Kuala Lumpur would be the local ones like Malindo Air, Malaysia Airlines while the international airlines like Jetstar and Thai Airways. Then tourists may take a taxi to Nilai.

By Car

From Kuala Lumpur, one may take the Lebuhraya Sungai Besi and head towards Seremban. However before reaching Seremban, take the exit at Nilai. It only takes 45 minutes to drive from Kuala Lumpur to Nilai. The two cities are 50.4 kilometres apart.

By Train

Visitors may take the KTM Commuter at KL Central. There is a stop right in Nilai. It will take around 1 hour to reach the town. There are 10 stations between KL Central and Nilai. The fare is around RM 6. There are new coaches for the route and one of the coaches is designated for women only.
