Rasah is a one of the mukim in Seremban District at Negeri Sembilan. This place is located near Seremban city and less than hour from Kuala Lumpur city centre. Rasah has many housing estates which are Kampung Dato Mansor, Kampung Pasir, Taman Sri Pulasan, Taman Lian, Taman Nee Yan, Taman Klana Jubli, Taman Bukit Chedang, Taman Dato' Raja Mohd Hanifah, Taman Rasah, Taman Rasah Jaya, Taman Desa Rasah, Taman Harapan Baru, Taman Happy, Taman Thivy Jaya, Taman Sri Putih, Taman Nuri Indah, Taman Anggur, Taman Bukit Rasah and Taman Belimbing. There are various places of worship of many faiths in Rasah and the most prominent one is Rasah Sri Mahamariamman Temple which situated in the foothills near Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital.

How to Get There

By Car

From Kuala Lumpur city, it takes 50 minutes and 64.9 kilometres away to reach Rasah town by using North- South highway. There is also an alternative road to Rasah which is via SILK highway or Sistem Lingkaran Lebuhraya Kajang which takes another 20 minutes.

Ulu Bendul

The Ulu Bendul Recreational Park located 30 minutes away from Rasah town and 16 kilometres from Seremban. This forest is estimated to be around 130 million years old. It is situated on the Kuala Pilah Sri Menanti route at at the foot of Bukit Angsi and is one of the six recreational parks in Negeri Sembilan developed for ecotourism purposes. Many people come here for picnic with family and friends and if you are more adventurous, you can go jungle-trekking. Visitors also can stay at the specially designated camping grounds or rent one of the chalets in the park. Ulu Bendul offers activities such as camping, jungle trekking, fishing and swimming, ideal for the perfect tropical jungle excursion. Mountain climbers can explore the hill terrain by climb along Batang Terachi river. Gunung Angsi, or Mount Angsi also located near Ulu Bendul and has become one of the attractions at Ulu Bendul Recreational Forest which stands at 825 metres above sea level.

Lukut Museum

The Lukut Museum is located approximately 26 minutes away from Rasah town and was built by then Department of Museums and Antiquities which now renamed as Department of Museums Malaysia in collaboration with the Negeri Sembilan Darul Khusus government. The construction of this museum began end of 1997 and was officially launched by Y.A.B. Dato’ Seri Utama Tan Sri Haji Mohd. Isa Bin Dato’ Abdul Samad, Chief Minister of Negeri Sembilan on April 9, 1999. The purpose of building this museum is to spread information and historical proof related to Lukut. It also functions to trace back the glorious days of Lukut and its legends in the nation’s history and to showcase important elements of the relationship between Lukut as well as the greatness of Fort Lukut as a defensive tract signifying the uniqueness of Malay civilization’s architecture. The visiting hours of this museum is open from Monday to Sunday from 9.00 am - 6.00 pm and closed on the first day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri and first day of Hari Raya Aidiladha. The admission here is free of charge.
