Room lock faulty, I did ask the front desk to change my room or ask their technicians to repair, but they avoided, and then don't have safe box so I can't keep my valuables in safe box, not worth of what we pay for that location, no food shops nearby for breakfast because no breakfast is provided by hotel even with paying extra

Not recommended for light sleeper. Very noisy during night. Thin wall you can easily hear door slam, moving chairs from upstair and many more.

About

Seremban is a town and the state capital of Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, being placed under the Seremban district. Founded as Sungai Ujong in the early days, the administration is run by the Seremban Municipal Council. Just like other towns in the Peninsular Malaysia, it is opened due to the discovery of tin ore beginning from the 1870s and experienced more development alongside the growing tin mining industry. The area later becomes a melting pot of Arab, Chinese and Malay immigrants that come over for trade. The high taxes collected causes the unsettling feeling within the British colonialists in the nearby port of Melaka. They then saw the argument between the local chieftains of Dato' Kelana and the Dato' Shahbandar over tax collections as an opportunity to intervene in the matters of the state.

The British supported the Dato’ Kelana and exiled the Dato’ Shahbandar to Singapore. Captain Murray got installed as the first British Resident for Negeri Sembilan as a sign of gratitude for their help in defeating Dato’ Shahbandar. Nowadays, due to its closer location about sixty kilometers south from the federal capital of Kuala Lumpur, many have found home in the city in order to avoid the hustles and bustles in the ever growing and overcrowded metropolitan. This has driven the city to flourish even further as a satellite city of the Klang Valley area.

In terms of tourism, the capital of Negeri Sembilan is also the center of the Minangkabau culture in the country, which is due to the Malay people of Minangkabau sub-ethnic that has predominantly settled in the state since its early days. This can be seen clearly in the distinct roof architecture resembling buffalo horns as well as in the multitude of Minangkabau dishes that are commonly found here as well as other Chinese and Indian dishes such as the widely recognized Seremban Siew Pau.

How to Get There

By Car

People driving from Kuala Lumpur may drive through the North-South Expressway (PLUS) exiting at Senawang before continuing the journey towards the town of Seremban. The journey could take up around forty five minutes to one hour depending on the current traffic situation.

By Train

From Kuala Lumpur International Airport, visitors can catch the Express Rail Link (ERL) train which goes to KL Sentral/Bandar Tasik Putrajaya/Cyberjaya/Salak Tinggi/KLIA route. There, one can board the Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) southbound coach and stop by the Seremban station before opting.

The nearest express bus terminal is located at Terminal One, Seremban. Take the trip directly to Seremban from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) terminal using express bus services such as Sanwa Tours, KPB Express and Kesatuan Express. From here, hop on a local route bus or other public transportation to go around the area.

Tourist Attractions

Seremban Railway Station

Located at town center, the railway station has been around since 1910 and still standing till this day as well as being operational for southbound intercity trips. Due to its close proximity to the city, it is relatively easy to drop off here and have a look around the vintage station before going to other destinations.

State Museum & Cultural Complex

In order to understand the uniquely local culture of the state even further, this place could be the best spot for that purpose. Built in the classical Minangkabau roof architecture, one can find some of the historical buildings and features around the area such as the Ampang Tinggi Palace, Negeri Sembilan House or “Rumah Undang” as well as some canons and boats. Several informative sections are available for visitors to learn the history better such as the Pilately and Stamps Gallery, Historical Exhibits, Handicrafts Exhibits and video show screening.
