Tanjung Aru Beach

Tanjung Aru beach is approximately 6 kilometres from Kota Kinabalu city. The name is taken after the casuarinas or aru trees that surrounds the white sandy beach. Lok Kawi Wildlife Park

Lok Kawi Wildlife Park consists of two parts namely the zoological and the botanical. Both parts takes up approximately 280 acres in size. Located about 25 kilometers away from Kota Kinabalu, the existence of this park has undisputedly boosted Sabah’s tourism industry with the aim to create family-oriented park where some considerations are also taken to children’s safety and suitability while enjoying this park. Among the famous animals are the Borneo Pygmy elephants, Sumatran rhinoceros, Orang Utan, Proboscis monkey, Malayan tiger and some species of deer. While trekking along the jungle, visitors will get to the most lively section which is the aviary section, where they get to hear crowds sounds of the mynahs who excited by the visitors coming to see them, as well as the hornbill, pigeons, parrots, eagles, egrets and a lot more.
