The Sunshine hypermarket is another hypermarket that offers various types of groceries at a cheaper price that most of the other well-known hypermarket on the state of Pulau Pinang. There are items that are easily available here at this hypermarket such as international items, especially at the groceries section.
Apart from the hypermarket, this building also opens its floors to various of other retailers, such as boutiques, phone kiosks, phone repairing shops and such. There is also a cineplex inside the building that is one of the best cinema in terms of big halls and superb sound quality. Though the Sunshine Bertam Shopping Mall is in Penang, it is not located on the Penang Island itself. It is on the mainland of Peninsular Malaysia, but still in the borders of Penang state. It is located in the town of Kepala Batas, Penang.
Driving to the Sunshine Bertam Shopping Mall would be the easiest way to get there. It is located on the mainland part of the Penang state, some forty minutes away from Penang’s city centre, George Town. If driving from Kuala Lumpur, the trip to Sunshine Bertam Shopping Mall will take about three and a half an hour to reach, via the North-South Highway.

Penang has its own international airport, situated near Bayan Lepas, and almost at the southern tip of the island. Internationally, flights are coming from most ASEAN cities such as Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Medan and Jakarta, and some Asian cities such as Taipei and Guangzhou, China. From the airport, it will take some forty minutes to reach Sunshine Bertam Shopping Mall by driving.

Located on the border of Penang and Kedah, this recreational park offers a gorgeous view of the wetland. Built in 2009 and completed just three years after, this mosque can hold up to 6,000 worshippers at a time. The mosque is always filled with worshippers especially during Friday prayer, mainly because it provides such a comfortable place to pray with thick, fresh smelling carpet and also, the toilets and the ablution places are always clean. The mosque is open every day and twenty-four hours a day. It is just a couple of kilometres from the Sunshine Bertam shopping mall.
