The room was extremely comfortable and had all the amenities as stated. One thing I really liked was their smart TV, instead of just being able to surf the usual TV channels, I was able to connect my phone to the TV and play my own YouTube videos and shows from my phone, which I thought was quite cool. The hotel didn't feel congested or overcrowded at all despite the concierge informing us that they were almost fully booked that day, which was nice. They had a good breakfast spread-quite a variety of choices from oriental to american breakfast. Location was amazing as well! Right in the city centre-just right across the road from the MRT (City Hall) and near food places (Chijmes) and a mall (Raffles City), it was a breeze getting food and going to shop. Overall a 5/5 stay and would love to come back again!

Would recommend! Great choice for a staycation! The location is very good as is connected to three big malls. The lobby and bubble lifts are really eye-catching with the design of John Portman architecture! The hotel is big with different facilities including a pool, chess, gym, table tennis, kids playing area, etc. Staff are generally kind and responsive; Special Kodus to Abhi (from reception) and Rey (for entertainment) who made a good impression that we recalled their names :) They ensure we have a good time at Pan Pacific. We could have early check-in and slight late check-out, with a Deluxe room view of Swissotel. The room doesn't feel luxurious and modern but is comfortable. Surprisingly there is no coffee machine. Breakfast is a buffet with a wide variety and nice quality. Sadly exterior lifts below level 22 rooms cannot be used easily.

The service is excellent. We were able to early check in and late check out. Location is great. Walking distance to Havelock MRT station (Thomson-East Coast Line) and Bus station. Many Restaurants at the back of the hotel, also could walk to Clarke Quay area (around 2km). The food is super delicious with many choices! Highly recommend to add breakfast in your booking!

After seeing the reviews of other guests, I was a bit scared to bring my family to this staycation. But when I actually checked in/my stay things aren't that bad and actually me and my family quite like this hotel.- Booked 4 rooms for 3d2n.- Check in was seamless fast/efficient just need get everyone's ID and the key is ready. Staff explained to us the details such as free parking/booking of pools limit to 5 guest/- As our rooms got is without breakfast staff explained to us that is $ 10 per person. So we gave it a try for 1D. -When we stepped into our rooms we were quite happy first thing first, room with Singapore flyer view.- Rooms' TV with Netflix! -Rooms are clean and although was a bit old but I must say is big + clean! - Room amenities that they even provide hotel slippers/cotton stick/body lotion!- I must say that for the location/room size and cleanliness is most important definitely I will come back to this hotel again! My experience/stay was definitely a pleasant one. Things are not really that bad from what other guest review la. Maybe different people different expectations. But I find it good. Will definitely be back again soon!

I will definitely come back! Great service, amazing room ambience, and totally love the neighborhood. I don’t mind the distance to public transport, especially MRT, since I travel a lot by bus. The location is very convenient. Thank you for the awesome hospitality.

It was worth every cent!!! The hotel’s located right above Outram MRT Station. And there’s so many restaurants within walking distance. You can actually go to Chinatown within 7-10 minutes by strolling slowly. Most importantly, it is only 1 station away from Harborfront if you need to travel through the ferry terminal, and you can go to Changi Airport by traveling from Outram MRT. Best location ever.

Due to covid-19 can't contact hotel staff and no any response / feedback from hotel staff for amendment. First and last time also, never stay here anymore. Good bye Capsule Pod China town.

Good location, but not worth the price for facilities. I was in the upper bed without the curtain so no privacy. No lock in the storage, you have to bring your own. Cleanliness was disappointed, hot water will be down during peak hour in the shower

About

Club Street is a street located in Chinatown within the Outram Planning Area in Singapore. The Club Street houses several cool joints worth checking out if you’re in the mood for a drink or two. Plus, since the area isn’t massive, it’s perfect for bar-hopping. Ready your beer goggles and wine glasses. Singapore's best kept party secret.

Club Street is the mecca for expat debauchery and revelry, one of the hottest dining and bar enclaves in Singapore. It is located on the fringes of Chinatown and not on any tourist map. Since April 2013, Club Street and Siang Road are pedestrians only during the weekends.

How to Get There

By MRT

You may take MRT and get off at Chinatown MRT Station (NE4/DT19). The station is an interchange station connecting the North East Line (NEL) and the Downtown Line (DTL), located in the ethnic district of Chinatown.

Tourist Attractions

Chinatown

Chinatown, with its colourful Peranakan shop-houses and a handful of historical attractions, makes for a pleasant stroll. It is divided into four main districts, namely Kreta Ayer, Telok Ayer, Tanjong Pagar and Bukit Pasoh, but the centre of activities revolves around Smith and Pagoda Streets. Chinatown offers a lot more than just the restored shops and ethnic places of worship, such as the old Hokkien temple Thian Hock Keng, Sri Mariamman Hindu Temple and James Mosque, it’s a haven for hawker food lovers. There’s also a good mix of hotels here, from heritage shop-house hotels to five-star luxury boutique accommodation. The Chinatown MRT Station brings you to the doorstep of Pagoda Street.

The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple

The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple is a remarkable four-story temple. When entering the gate, you’ll immediately notice the stunning main hall with its high ceiling. The bell tower and drum tower are on the same floor. However, the main focus for most visitors is the solid gold two-metre stupa on the fourth floor which is the place where the sacred relic is kept. Continuing up to the roof, there is a pagoda that has a large prayer wheel. The temple is built in style based on the Buddhist mandala and integrated with the Buddhism of the Tang dynasty. The sacred building is located in the heart of Chinatown was founded in 2002 and opened to the public only in 2007. A visit to this temple can be a memorable experience because it is rich in history and art.

Thian Hock Keng

Thian Hock Keng is one of the oldest and most important Hokkien temples in Singapore. It was visited by Chinese immigrants giving thanks to Mazu (Goddess of the Seas) for their safe voyage. In 1839, under the leadership of Mr Tan Tock Seng and Mr Si Hoo Keh, the Hokkien clan built the temple in Telok Ayer Street. It also housed the clan’s office and served as a meeting venue. The construction of Thian Hock Keng was completed in 1840. The details of the temple’s history are recorded on stone steles inside the Entrance Hall. There is also a plaque inscribed with the words Bo Jing Nan Ming (Gentle Waves over the South Seas) presented by Qing Dynasty Emperor Guang Xu in 1907, evidence of the temple’s stature. The temple was built in traditional southern Chinese architectural style. The entire structure was assembled without nails. It is an architectural masterpiece of stone, tiles and wood, carvings of dragons and phoenixes, intricate sculptures and imposing columns.
