Woodlands is a planning area and residential town located in the North Region of Singapore. This town is connected to Malaysia's southernmost city, Johor Bahru, via the Johor-Singapore Causeway. It is the regional centre for the North Region.

Woodlands planning area borders Sembawang to the east, Mandai to the south, Sungei Kadut to the west and Johor Bahru to the north. Woodlands New Town is situated within the Woodlands planning area.

How to Get There

By Car and Taxi

You can go to Woodlands by riding your vehicle or by taxi. You go there via different expressway based on your preference. If you want to go here by booking a taxi, tell and give the instructions to the Singaporean taxi drivers. They will bring you to the place that you want.

By Bus

Singapore Zoo

Set in a rainforest environment, the Singapore Zoo is home to over 2,800 animals from over 300 species of mammals, birds and reptiles. The park also boasts the world's first free-ranging orangutan habitat in a zoo. Admiralty Park

Admiralty Park is a national park in Singapore that is 27 hectares in size. It is made unique by its river valley shaped hilly terrain. The park has a nature area spanning 20 hectares in size, the biggest nature area within a park in Singapore. Much of the park is mangrove swamps. Three boardwalks cut through the mangrove, providing places for observing and appreciating flora and fauna with minimal disturbance of the habitat. The park works closely with neighbouring Republic Polytechnic, which is also the adopter of the park under the adopt-a-park scheme. One of the collaborations with them has been the Admiralty Park E-Guide, an online guide to the plants in the park produced by students from the School of Applied Science.

This park is also used for sports, recreation purposes and to facilitate this there are fitness stations and a running track. Concert, performances, hiking and nature walk also take place. There are Wi-Fi hotspots for visitors are provided at locations around the park.

Kranji War Memorial

It is the location information of The Commonwealth War Graves Commission's Kranji War Cemetery situated on the north side of Singapore Island overlooking the Straits of Johor. The Cemetery is known locally as Kranji Memorial. There are also bus stops on the main road facing the Cemetery. You also can go there from the Kranji MRT Station. This place is open to the public every day from 07:00-18:30.
