Would definitely want to send my regards and appreciation to the service given for my stay from the 21 to 22nd May 2022. Booked 2 rooms to host an advance birthday celebration. Yet again One Farrer hotel has surprised us with the many gems of customer service. Pre-arrival. Once again, through email communications, Jocelyn from Front Office was very welcoming as usual and arranged everything in order for my arrival's convenience. Really appreciate everything she has done and am thankful! Check-in Kit from reception was efficient in explaining the tight occupancy and invited us to the lounge. Nonetheless, would really like to thank Eugene & Team for providing quality service and service recovery on the small hiccups that happen throughout the stay. Kudos to housekeeping too for their fast response. Lounge. Last but not least, Mr Malek has definitely brought the standards of customer service to the next level, portraying professionalism in his work and ensuring my family was well-taken care of the whole time. We indulged in such treatment that we barely left the lounge and hotel. I still remember at times Malek was extremely polite in serving us which is really another gem in the hotel which serves as an extreme role model to his service and his peers. Thanks, Malek, we will be back! Nonetheless, appreciate the service given and would like to thank the team for the wonderful stay. Thanks!

Lyf actually similar to studio apartment, very good facilities (gym, laundry, cafe) but no swimming pool. Location was very great, bus stop just in front the hotel and MRT station just 200m from hotel. The room not too big and no TV and fridge, but it was very clean.

Simplicity at it's finest! Had the Nassim room. Cosy, clean and comfortable. Loving the black and white theme. Simple and sleek design. 3 in 1 soap but great quality. Citrusy fresh scented and moisturizing like an aloe gel consistency not your cheapo soap where it smells funky. Have all the basics you need. if you looking for a simple and comfortable place to sleep this is to go. Customer service is warm and friendly and informative in assisting any enquiries. Loving it. By far my favorite hotel for a stay-cay.

The room was spacious and the bathroom and shower were connected. The view was of a building that had caught fire. There was a tv with local channels. The maid service was nice. The laundry service was confusing. I loved staying here because it was close to the MRT and convenience stores.

The room is clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is in a strategic place because it's really near the mrt station and there are lots of places to eat around the area. There's also a minimarket right beside the place so it's really convenient if you want to buy some snacks. Overall a good experience!

The hotel is nice and clean, cozy, and really close to the MRT and bus stops. The staff are friendly and helpful, and they've even got hand bidet facilities, which is great.

I heard bad reviews on multiple platforms so I was a bit suspicious. However the stay was satisfactory. The location is ok, near bus stops and MRT. Facility is acceptable, not the best quality but would not hurt for a night or two. Staff was friendly enough.

I booked this for my friends, and they said beside the room is small, it’s only have one electricity station and it used for tv so you couldn't charge anything. The reception is not 24 hours so it’s difficult when you have to check out at 3 a.m, and it’s on 2nd floor, so they have to bring they 25 kgs baggage from 1st floor by stairs. the room literally only have a bad and tv, nothing else. The highlight is only the locations. Very near to jalan besar mrt, foods, and anything else.

About

Best Little India Hotels in Singapore

Little India is situated right across Chinatown and is one of Singapore’s most colorful districts. The history of this neighborhood dates back to the 1840s, where Europeans mingled among the locals due to the racecourse. As goods and services were being traded, Indian migrant workers started occupying the neighborhood and set down their roots. They introduced their culture, cuisine, and even built religious sites, shopping centers, and hotels. This is when Little India came to life.

The first thing you’ll notice once you arrive in Little India is the vibrant streets. You can explore religious sites such as the Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, the Abdul Gafoor Mosque, the Leong San See Temple, and many more. You also wouldn’t want to miss the House of Tan Teng Niah, which definitely stands out in Little India from its bright and colorful exterior. You’ll want to snap some Instagrammable pictures here for sure!

Being the former hub of cattle trading in Singapore involving many migrant workers, you’ll also find plenty of delicious traditional cuisines in Little India. You can try authentic Indian delights such as tandoori, biryani, butter chicken, and samosa. Once you’re done filling your tummy, it’s time to go shopping at the ultimate shopping center in Little India which is the Mustafa Center. This shopping center consists of four stories and is open 24 hours a day! If you want to make the most out of your trip to Little India, you should visit during one of the public holidays in Singapore or their signature public holidays, which is during Deepavali and Pongal, as they have exciting celebrations for you to witness.

As these cultural buildings and shopping centers spruce up, so did the many Little India hotels that are wonderful for a staycation Singapore. You'll find a wide variety of hotels in Little India, ranging from luxurious hotels, boutique hotels, hostels, hotels with their historical heritage, and hotels known for their amazing restaurants. Most of these hotels are family-friendly, but more than a few are also perfect for solo travelers, business travelers, and couples! To save you some time, we’ve listed the best Little India hotels for you, and some are among the cheap hotels in Singapore that you’ll find within the area. So, start taking notes!

One Farrer Hotel

Location: 1 Farrer Park Station Road, Farrer Park, Little India

Located right out of the Farrer Park MRT Station, the One Farrer Hotel is one of the leading hotels in Singapore that offers top-notch hospitality. They pride themselves in offering one of the most unique luxuries that you might not find in other Little India hotels: art. The One Farrer Hotel is home to over 700 pieces of original contemporary abstract art from across Greater Asia. Other than that, you can enjoy fine dining at any of the three restaurants in One Farrer Hotel that offers. The Escape restaurant situated at the hotel’s poolside overviews Singapore’s skyline and serves international cuisines, while Socieaty by Les Amis creates numerous interesting fusions of Hong Kong, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Italian dishes. For a more lush and private ambience, which is perfect for a romantic setting, you can book a table at the Nest at One Farrer, where you’ll be served by world-renowned guest chefs.

Now, let’s talk about rooms! The One Farrer Hotels offers you different types of rooms which you can choose from based on your staycation Singapore needs. The Mint Room is a serene hotel room that is decorated to optimize comfort and relaxation. It features neutral tones, wooden accents, vinyl flooring, and furnished with either a king or twin bed, a work desk overlooking the city, and a 55/65 inch smart television. Traveling with children? Then you might want to consider the Mint Den or Mint Suite. The Mint Den is similar to the Mint Room, with an added relaxation area separate from the room itself. You’ll also enjoy the tranquility of their bathroom’s tropical rain shower adorned with black granite slates. Last but not least, the Mint Suite is an exclusive room that you can access from a private lobby. It consists of two rooms with an excellent view of Singapore’s landscape. This room also offers you 24-hours lifestyle concierge services, special entry to their Skyline Lounge and Terrace, and the use of the rooftop swimming pool and workout facility. On top of that, you’ll be served breakfast, evening cocktails, and dinner. What could be more perfect?

Wanderlust, The Unlimited Collection by Oakwood

Location: 2 Dickson Road, Little India

In the mood for a staycation Singapore moment in an aesthetically decorated room? Wanderlust is the perfect place for you. Built from a 1920s Art Deco building, Wanderlust fuses old town ambiance with modern-day decoration. This urban residence consists of contemporary rooms that are one of the most Insta-worthy rooms among Little India hotels. They have three types of rooms: Deluxe room, Studio Premier and Studio Loft. The Deluxe room is a compact 13 to 17-square meter space featuring a queen-sized bed with a window overlooking the streets of Little India. You’ll get to share a pantry with the other guests and socialize with them at the lounge. The Studio Premier room is a little bigger at 16 to 21-square meters and features a fully-stocked kitchen for your perusal. Finally, the Studio Loft is a charming 2-story loft. The first floor consists of a kitchenette and a living area, while the second floor is the ‘bedroom’ area.

However, what really stands out about Wanderlust is their thematic room packages. They have a special offer for a romantic staycation for couples either in the Studio Premier or the Studio Loft. This package includes a DIY pasta kit as a date night plan to cook with your significant other! They’ll also include a choice of red wine, white wine, or sparkling juice. You can customize the type of pasta, the sauce, as well as any available additional ingredients. This sounds great for Valentine’s day or an anniversary. You can enjoy a rousing conversation with the girls over manicures and then get ready for a night out! Wanderlust is certainly one of the best hotels in Singapore that takes a step further to engage their guests.

Park Hotel Farrer Park

Location: 10 Farrer Park Station Road, Farrer Park, Little India

The Park Hotel Farrer Park has a long history and is now blending in amidst pre-war houses that surround it. This Little India hotel is a newly built hotel with 300 contemporary guest rooms. Their motto is to prioritize the guests’ comfort and needs by catering to the unique preferences of every traveler. They offer a wide range of room types, from Superior, Deluxe, Crystal Club, to Sky Loft and Premier Loft which are all wheelchair friendly. The fitness center is available to use from 5 to 11 PM, and if you’re up for some shopping, this hotel has direct access to the City Square Shopping Mall and Farrer Park MRT Station. Have to work during your stay, even when it’s a public holiday in Singapore? We’ve all been there. You can have no hassle getting your work done as this hotel provides complimentary Wi-Fi access that has been complimented for its speed!

The Great Madras by Hotel Calmo

Location: 28 Madras Street, Rochor, Little India

The Great Madras will surprise you with their hip and flashy decor, which you wouldn’t expect when you see their humble exterior. If you’ve ever seen The Grand Budapest Hotel, this hotel is similar to it. Its simplicity is somewhat aesthetically pleasing, as you’ll find little objects that come from different times and places around the hotel. Just like it is one of the Little India hotels, its key message to their guests is to notice and appreciate the little things because little things can be great. The Great Madras may seem like a small hotel compared to other Little India hotels, but it offers so much. For example, they have a barber right in their lobby, so if you’re looking a little shabby, don’t be shy and get a fresh cut while you wait for your room to be ready! They also have a bistro that serves amazing local delights and kicker Halal food. If it’s looking a bit hot during the day, you can relax at their very Instagrammable pool.

The Great Madras’ greatness doesn’t stop there. They have rooms that cater to every traveler’s needs, no matter how little. If you’re on the budget and are looking for cheap hotels in Singapore, why not stay at the hostel in The Great Madras? Unlike most hostels, The Great Madras provides king-sized beds with sliding doors for your privacy. However, if you want more than that, you can choose the compact 9-square meter room named The Good Room. They also have bigger rooms such as The Better Room, The Deluxe Room, The Balcony Room, The Courtyard Room, and The Great Suite. To be frank, these rooms are like a box of chocolates. Each is different, has their own characteristics, yet are equally wonderful.

PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road

Location: 181 Kitchener Road, Little India

Everyone loves a strategically placed hotel, right? Especially in Singapore, where you can go anywhere by foot or public transportation. Well, if you’re looking for a Little India hotel that is convenient, PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road is a great choice for you. It is just next to the popular Mustafa Center, so you can literally shop until you drop while ensuring you drop on one of PARKROYAL’s comfy beds. Their rooms are pretty much of similar sizes with an ensuite bathroom where you can enjoy a relaxing rain shower and finish off some work in the workspace area. What makes them different from the other Little India hotels is that they have different bed sizes to accommodate your group travels. They have Deluxe Triple Room if you’re traveling with two other people or the Family Triple Room if you’re a family of three. They also have a Family Quadruple Room fit for four guests and a Premier Family Room perfect for groups of six. Each room type has special features, such as the Premier Family Room having a dedicated lounge space and direct pool access while the Family Quadruple Room features connecting bedrooms and a walk-in wardrobe.

Aside from their excellent room quality, you’ll also be treated with exquisite fine dining experiences at Spice Brasserie or Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant. The Spice Brasserie is an all-day dining restaurant with a tantalizing selection of Asian street food, while Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant is known for its authentic Cantonese and Sichuan specialties prepared by Leung Wing Cheung, an Executive Cantonese Chef. However, to follow safety protocols, all meals from these restaurants are to be enjoyed in the comfort of your rooms. You just need to dial their numbers and they’ll deliver it to your doorstep!
