Perlis is located at the northern of the Peninsular of Malaysia. It is also the smallest state in Malaysia covering an area of around 800sq km. By Plane

The nearest airport to Perlis is Sultan Abdul Halim Airport in Kepala Batas, Kedah where it takes 45 minutes’ drive from the airport. Flights to and from Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Johor Bahru are available at the airport. From there, you can take taxi or bus to Perlis.

By Car

Driving to Perlis is convenient as it is accessible via the North-South highway and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. You can take exit at the Changloon interchange and proceed along the Changloon-Kuala Perlis Expressway to Perlis. If you use main road into Perlis you may use Route 7 which links Alor Star, Kedah with Kangar and Padang Besar at the Thai-Malaysia border.

By Bus

You can also take a bus or taxi from Johor, Terengganu, Kelantan, Melaka, Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Kedah arrive at Bukit Lagi Bas Terminal in Kangar. Buses to other states also available here which depart from both the Kangar and Kuala Perlis bus stations.

By Train

Perlis can be reach by train from Kuala Lumpur and Butterworth on Keretapi Tanah Melayu's Senandung Langkawi, as well as from Bangkok, Thailand on the State Railways of Thailand's International Express. The two main railway stations in Perlis are Arau and Padang Besar on the Thai-Malaysian border.
