Patau-Patau Water Village is a floating residence located on Jalan Merdeka, Labuan. It was built on the south part of Labuan island along Malaysia Borneo coast. It is also known as fishing village where it is mostly resided by fishermen and they are the descendents of people who settled in the 1930s. During World War II, Patau-Patau Water Village was totally destroyed by a massive bomb and it was then rebuilt. The houses are very unique as they are built on stilts over water in its bays and connected by wooden or concrete walkways. As Patau-Patau Water Village is famous for fishing and tourism activities, some villagers run homestay businesses. Please take note that there are two water villages in Labuan and another one is called Kampung Bebuloh.
