How to get to there

By Car

From the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, it takes approximately four to five hours driving to the Belum Rainforest. Driving through the North-South Highways or famous as PLUS Highway, head towards the north and exit at Kuala Kangsar. As exiting, head towards Gerik.

By Bus

From Kuala Lumpur, there are two bus terminals that provides transportation to the nearest town Gerik which are Hentian Duta or Terminal Bersepadu Selatan.

By Train

From Kuala Lumpur, get the train from KL Setral to Kuala Kangsar. From Kuala Kangsar, private transfer such as taxi or even the Belum Rainforest private transport can be arranged beforehand upon request.

Lost World of Tambun

Since the Belum Rainforest located in the midst of the vast jungle and in the midway fo East-West Highway, the nearest attraction to it is Lost World of Tambun which is about 100 kilometres away from the Belum Rainforest. Lost World of Tambun is rated as the top three water theme park in Malaysia. There are a lot of activities provided that make this water theme park is suitable for the parents as well as children. Other than its theme park, it is also famous for the night hot spring.

This Belum Rainforest provide its own resort where mostly the visitors will choose to stay here. This is because the visitors can easily book for the exploring activities mentioned above. There are various types of stays for the visitors to choose from and mostly the stays named after the plants and trees that can be found in the rainforest. The rates are ranging from RM383 to RM824 which makes this resort becomes a 4 stars stay surrounded by the green nature. Even if the rate is quite pricy yet the visitors were all satisfied with the service and activities that they got to explore here.

Banding Lake Side Inn

Other than staying in the Belum Resort itself, the visitors can choose to stay in other hotels or resorts such as Banding Lake Side Inn. It is located at Banding KM 39 Lebuh Raya Timur Barat, 33200 Gerik, this 3 stars hotel is also surrounded by the green view of the rainforest. This hotel also provides some activities that the visitors can try them out such as fishing trip. There are three types of rooms for the visitors to choose from and they are all facing the lake.
