Situated just around the southern road of Pantai Cenang, Pantai Tengah is a continuation of Pantai Cenang. Pantai Tengah is a 700 meters long stretch of white sands on the western coastline of Langkawi. It starts at the southern end of Pantai Cenang near the Underwater World and goes for a long stretch towards south. It is about 18 kilometres from Kuah Town and less than 20 minutes from the Langkawi International Airport by taxi. Along the beach, there are kiosks setup offers all kinds of watersports activities including Jet Skiing and Banana Boating. The operator also offers boat tours to nearby islands like Pulau Beras Basah, Pulau Rebak Kecil and Pulau Singa Besar. Besides that, there are several chalets and hotels along the beach, spas, restaurants as well as many shops selling clothing, accessories, souvenirs and gift items along the road (Jalan Pantai Tengah) that runs parallel to the beach. There are also beach bars located right on the beach itself.

How to Get There

By Plane

From KLIA to Langkawi International Airport, flights such as Air Asia, Malindo Air and Malaysia Airlines take around 55 minutes. Once you reach airport, you can take a taxi or rent a car to Pantai Tengah area by using Kuala Muda road which takes another 20 minutes.

Langkawi Island Hopping Tour

Island Hopping is probably the most popular boat tour in Langkawi and the standard tour starts at 9.00 in the morning or 2.00 pm at the evening and lasts for 3.5 to 4 hours including hotel transfers at selected hotel. This is a wonderful scenic freshwater lake surrounded by mountains that are covered with dense forests. The lake was formed when a large underwater cave collapsed many years back. The next stop is the island Pulau Singa Besar and Pulau Beras Basah is the last stop in the tour.
