The section provides for a fine of up to RM500, 000 and for a second or subsequent offence to a maximum fine of RM1 million, upon conviction.

Gunung Datuk Recreation Forest

Mount Datuk or Gunung Datuk is named after Dato' Perpatih Nan Sebatang organized a gathering of leaders in 1372 to elect the future Dato' Lembaga or clan chief. Standing at 880 metres above sea level, it is located about 10 kilometres from Tampin town and 35 kilometres from Seremban town. It also stands near the end of Peninsula Malaysia main range (Titiwangsa range) that goes to the Straits of Malacca. There are steel ladders for visitors to climb up the boulders and on the summit, you can see the breathtaking 360 degrees view of the surrounding landscape. The distance to reach the top is approximately about an hour journey and as you climb up, you can see many types of flora and fauna. Visitors are reminded to bring extra clothes and first aid kit as well as wear proper shoes for hiking.

Mount Tampin

Mount Tampin has a height of 764 meters (2,507 feet) and features dipterocarp forests. This place also is located at the end of the Titiwangsa Range. This mountain is well known to have RTM TV transmitting station providing coverage throughout the State of Melaka. On top of that, there are also radio transmitters and TV3 for coverage areas of Rembau, Tampin and Pulau Sebang, Melaka and TV3 transmitters for Melaka State. Besides that, there are much florae in this mountain which use for medicine and several ponds on this mountain to enable visitors to enjoy the preserved water clarity. In addition, there are also 5 kilometres trails up to the top of the mountain which is often used as a jogging track and public service in the afternoon and weekend breaks.
