Seahorse Diver is a dive centre located in the Pulau Perhentian Kecil, the smaller island of the group of Perhentian Island. How to Get There

By Car

Driving to the jetty in the district of Besut will take about one hour and forty minutes from the capital city of Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu with the distance of 107 kilometres. If driving from Kuala Lumpur, it will take almost six hours to reach the jetty.

By Bus

There are buses going to Kuala Besut from Kuala Terengganu with the price starting at RM 44 for the one-way trip. The bus trip will take seven hours to reach the bus terminal in Kuala Besut and from there, the jetty is just 800 metres away.

By Plane

It is much easier to get to the Besut Jetty is much easier from the Sultan Ismail Petra Airport in Kota Bharu, Kelantan as the distance is only an hour away. The Sultan Ismail Petra Airport is accessible via several airports in Malaysia including KLIA, Penang, and even from Kota Kinabalu.

By Ferry

Ferries trips from the jetty in Besut are almost hourly. The trip will take about forty minutes to reach the Perhentian Islands and the ticket starts from RM 35.

Tourist Attractions

Kayaking

One of the best activities to do in Perhentian Islands. Sea kayaking is perfect to be done in the waters of Perhentian Island as they are always calm. Sea kayaking is done around both of the Perhentian Islands, going around the islands and it is the best way to explore some of the isolated beaches. Other than that, it is also a good way to enjoy the beautiful ocean and the mesmerizing colourful underwater views while kayaking. The equipment for kayaking can be rented in several places around the islands and the prices are reasonable. The rent options are either by RM 30 an hour or RM 70 for the day, which is from early morning until 5 pm.

Jungle Trekking

There are several trails on the Perhentian Islands that would entice anyone who is seeking some other activities from the usual. Perhentian Besar Island has a trail between the Watercolours Paradise to Arwana that will take about thirty minutes to complete and on this trail, one can see large termite trails, lizards, some big fruit bats and even monkeys. The Perhentian Kecil Island, on the other hand, has a number of paved walking trails such as from Coral Bay to Mira Beach that will take thirty minutes to complete. The trails on Perhentian Kecil Island are the perfect trekking places for those who want to see monitor lizards as they are in abundant there.

Though there are no Wi-Fi connection or complimentary breakfast, the rooms have a free cancellation policy. There is a restaurant at the hotel but it is also located near several eateries. The hotel has a great picnic and barbecue area by the beach.
