Banting is a settlement with the postal code of 42700 of Kuala Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia. Banting is reportedly to have a population of 93,497 which comprises of Malay, Chinese and Indian. It is situated on the banks of Langat River. Banting is a Rest Town or Bandar Persinggahan due to the history of Jugra, a former royal town of Selangor before Kuala Lumpur. Banting is located near tourist attractions such as the beaches of Morib, hills, forest and farms. The topographical of Banting making it easily develops into an agricultural hub. Driving from Kuala Lumpur City Centre to Banting will take about 1 hour. From the city centre, head off to Putrajaya/Cyberjaya via Maju Expressway (MEX). Exit at the Putrajaya/Cyberjaya and head off to Dengkil exit. From Dengkil, you will see a few signboards to Banting.
Banting is also reachable by public transports, train and bus. From KL Sentral, take the KLIA Express train and get off at KLIA station. Walk to the nearby bus terminal and get the bus to Banting. The journey will be about 2 hours and 30 minutes.
