Bukit Jalil is a small suburb of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Back then, it was just an estate and known as Bukit Jalil Estate until 1992 when it was developed into the National Sports Complex for the 1998 Commonwealth Games. Bukit Jalil was bounded by few cities such as Puchong, Sungai Besi and Serdang. Bukit Jalil is accessible from other parts Kuala Lumpur and Selangor via many highways such as LDP connecting Damansara and Puchong, KESAS connecting Klang and Sri Petaling, MEX Kuala Lumpur and Sepang and NPE Kuala Lumpur and Subang. It is also served by public transport such as rapidKL bus and Ampang – Sri Petaling line train. In 2017, Bukit Jalil gained Asian’s attention once again when it hosted SEA Games. National Sports Complex was the venue where the opening and closing prestige ceremonies were held. Bukit Jalil also famous as an educational centre when it houses International Medical University (IMU), Technology Park Malaysia (TPM), the Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology and Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation. Not only that, there are numerous residential such as condominiums and apartments have been built in Bukit Jalil to cater the increasing population of that area.

How to Get There

By Train

Getting to Bukit Jalil by train, there is Bukit Jalil station which served Star LRT Ampang – Sri Petaling line. From the train station, get a taxi to take you to your destination.

Sunway Lagoon

This Malaysian famous and number one water theme park located at Bandar Sunway, which will take about less than 20 minutes driving from Bukit Jalil. Not only children but also the adults are attracted to visit this place for it has various excitements for them to experience. The huge park is divided into six distinctive themes such as Scream Park, Amusement Park, Wildlife Park, Extreme Park, Water Park and Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon. The entrance fees for all six parks are as follow; RM96 for a child and senior citizen, RM120 for adults. Whereas for the international traveller; RM126 for a child and senior citizen and RM153 for an adult.

I-City

It is nestled just beside the Federal Highway in Section 7, Shah Alam. I-City is endorsed as a tourism destination by the Ministry of Tourism and declared as an International Park by the Selangor State Government. I-City is a great place to spend quality time with your loved ones and expects to see a lot of attractive lights at night as the whole area of I-City is brighten up with thousands of colourful LED lights. There are also excitements for the visitors to enjoy such as City of Digital Lights that operates from 7 pm to 4 am daily; Outdoor Park Rides operates from 6 pm to 12 am daily; Snow Walk, Red Carpet and House of Horror that operates from 10 am to 12 am daily; Trick Art Museum operates from 11 am to 11 pm daily; Water World operates from 11 am to 7 pm daily. The admission fees are as follow; RM5 to RM10 per pax for Outdoor Park Rides; RM25 to RM50 per pax for Snow Walk; RM40 to RM100 per pax for Red Carpet; RM15 per pax for House of Horror; RM10 per pax for Trick Art Museum; RM25 to RM50 per pax for Water World.
