Kobe Airport – Kobe Airport is unique as it is located on an artificial island off the coast of Kobe and around 8 kilometres away from Sannomiya Station. Their main flights are for domestic locations, but they still have some international charter flights. There are not many airlines that operate here. Some that do are Air Do, All Nippon Airways, Fuji Dream Airlines, Skymark Airlines and also Solaseed Air. Therefore those who are flying from outside of Japan such as the Philippines will need to fly to Tokyo first then take a connecting flight to Kobe.

Kobe has a humid subtropical climate pattern. This would mean that the city would experience hot summers and cool to cold winters. The city also is affected by monsoon circulation. During winter the temperature can be as low as 5 – 7 degrees Celcius. Summers, on the other hand, the temperature can rise to 35 degrees Celcius. Between June to October, Kobe will experience typhoons.

• Himeji Castle - Himeji Castle which is currently a national treasure and a UNESCO world heritage site has survived many years, wars, earthquakes as well as fires and maintained its original form. • Kobe Port Tower – Kobe Port Tower was built back in 1963 and has been a seafront landmark of the city ever since. It has an observation tower that covers the view from the bay to the Rokko Mountain Range. The tower has a curved tube-like shape where it was inspired by the tsuzumi traditional drum instrument used in kabuki plays.
• Sake Breweries – There is a town called Nada where they are famous for sake brewing. It produces more than a quarter of the country’s sake. It has been around up to 700 years and now there are up to 30 sake breweries around. There is also a brewery museum that showcases the sake making process and displays the ancient production techniques.
