Institut Pendidikan Guru Malaysia Kampus Tun Hussein Onn is a university located at KM 7.75, Jalan Kluang which is about thirteen minutes away from the town and district of Batu Pahat. It is placed nearby the main road on sixty acres of land once used for agriculture purposes. The institution is built at a cost of twenty million ringgit and while it completed its build in 1992, it was only officiated in 1994 by Dato’ Anwar Ibrahim, the deputy prime minister back then.

Considering its proximity to other facilities such as secondary schools, meteorology office, petrol stations, supermarkets and many more, it is definitely easy to found. For the state of Johor, it is the only other tertiary education facility for educators in addition to the Institut Pendidikan Guru Malaysia Kampus Temenggong Ibrahim in the state capital, Johor Bahru. Within the country, it is the thirtieth public higher education institution geared at training teachers to fulfil the education demands of the country. As such, it would award education diploma and degree certifications to its students while equipping them with the necessary knowledge to be a good educator.

By Car

People driving from Kuala Lumpur may drive through the North-South Expressway (PLUS) / E2 route exiting at North Yong Peng before continuing the journey through Jalan Yong Peng/Route 24 towards the landmark. The journey could take up to two hours and forty minutes depending on the current traffic situation.

By Bus

The nearest express bus terminal is located at Jalan Rugayah, Kampung Pegawai. Take the trip directly to Batu Pahat from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) integrated terminal using express bus services such as S&S International Express, Mayang Sari Express and Transnasional Express. From here, hop on a local route bus or taxi to go around the city centre and to the landmark.

A popular beach and recreational spot among the locals, Pantai Minyak Beku or literally known as the Frozen Oil Beach provides a soothing and enjoyable experience with friends and family. There are a lot of food stalls and restaurants nearby as well as places to relax and do some picnicking while experiencing the sea breeze and the sunset. Like any other beaches, there are also fishermen with their boats going to the sea to catch fish, another normal view of this beach. It also has its own historical values, where there is a well located nearby which becomes the reason of why Batu Pahat gets its name. The village nearby is said to be the first area to be populated with people back in the early days of Batu Pahat.
