This place had a lot of heart. The waitress did an excellent job. Make sure to save room for dessert, because that was the best part of the meal! Everything was mostly decadent. Try out the huge selection of incredible appetizers. Solid 4 stars.

Give this a miss
Went to this place as it was a five minute walk from where we were staying. We were the only people there. We were near a tv that entertained us with the wonders of Mason Adventures through our whole meal. I ordered the duck that was over cooked and very tough. My wife had the chicken curry that was tasty but was more char potatoes than chicken. I enjoyed my Bintang but my wife said her cocktail was almost non alcoholic. Will travel into town for the rest of our stay

Terrible & the worst
This place looks amazing, some real money has been wasted in creating something that should be dragging the tourists in. But our experience there showed why it’s more likely to close than remain open. Friends were there on Saturday night promoting Latin dance, kick-off 9pm, so my partner and me went along to support them and have something to eat at the same time. The venue was Blu Bar, a bar inside the Mason Adventure Centre building, which also houses a cafe and Yanies Resto from where the food is sourced and of course the HQ for Mason Adventures, about which are written separate reviews. 9pm rolled around and there were 7 people in this cavernous space...the numbers didn’t go over 12 all night, and 2 of those people were local Latin dancers there to dance with guests. Hungry, we ordered food, available were Japanese, Indonesian, European. I started with a seafood risotto, my partner creme tomato soup, both not bad, washed down with very, very bad Chardonnay and mediocre strawberry mocktail, respectively. My main was supposed to be spicy duck breast served with vegetables and mashed potato, partner had gado gado. The duck was tough and served with gravy, and as for the gado gado.....if they can’t get THAT right in Indonesia then something is seriously wrong. I sent the duck back and opted for what should be a safe bet, vegetarian lasagne. It took about 30 minutes for the lasagne to finally turn up and I know why, with no customers to prepare for, what cook wants to risk preparing food in advance that probably will end-up being thrown away. And there were no restaurant customers. The vegetables in the lasagne were uncooked, the taste bland, the tomato paste smeared in a pile on the top straight out of the can....yuk. Really couldn’t eat it, so that got sent back. Lucky they don’t make beer, so the Bintang was ok. This place was expensive. Why drive quite some distance out of Ubud to go to a place that is no good with no atmosphere and terrible food when within walking distance of Ubud-central you are spoilt for choice. Plenty of underground parking but the reason is obvious, no customers. Take my advice, don’t waste your time or money.
