Authentic Teochew Style Pork Rib Soup. Nice :)
Very aromatic and rich pork rib soup that stays true to its Teochew roots. The recipe was definitely generous with the Chinese spices, and the meat cooked for the right amount of time (no shortcut) that allowed wonderful tenderness to set in, "slipping" meat off the bone easily. Since it was a casual eating place, I was expecting the prices to be more affordable but probably I have to consider the fact that it was located at the upper levels of a high end shopping mall. Premium rental might have been the cause of higher than expected costs. Would also appreciate if the service crew were to emphasize on the promotional bundle (not very clear on the menu), as I only realised it when I went to the counter to make payment. Even if language was a barrier, a good gesture would have them pointing to the promo section.

Nice place to enjoy your meal, specially on rainy day.
The first thing you would want to enjoy at ba kut teh place is the ba kut teh, which was superb. Similar to the one I had in SIngapore. The gravy is clear, aromatic and has peppery taste. The sayur asin is also good, not too salty, yet delicately compliment the dish. Was here with ex-colleague friend, and they love the place and the food. Definately a must try restaurant !

Too much pepper
Tried the meatballs and tofu. I forgot the menu's name. Meatballs are delicious. Its all pork. They also served fish. I don't like the soup, i think its too much pepper. Feels like drinking a black pepper. First serve, the tea cup smells like cockroach. Ask them to replace with another one and turns out fine. Not recommended.
