Ate at Xaio Chu a few times , mainly at lunchtime or early afternoon when quiet. My favourite is the pork and black pepper but I have not been disappointed with anything.

Bit of a shocker
After getting in late afternoon to the Trans Hotel we thought a big family group would struggle for a meal along eat street so we went directly opposite the hotel. This was a bad decision. Meals took a very long time even though were the only ones in there. The pork was so dry I thought it was jerky. The real shocker though was the salt and pepper squid.....it come out so thick with the flour/batter that was still powdery and the squid was cold!! Went back for a second piece to make sure I wasn't mistaken. The Nasi Goreng was pretty much just a basic fried rice but we had to eat it as we were hungry. It has become a bit of a group joke about this restaurant for this trip. The person who selected it is still getting teased! I'm not a hard 'marker' or nasty at all - read other reviews if u like but this is a shocker with so many great restaurants 300m away - I suggest Ginger Moon.

Small and great!
We wanted some Chinese food and saw this little place as we drove along Sunset Road. Inside is clean and quiet and the Staff was most accommodating. The menu has a wide selection, the food was good and the prices very low! Air conditioned with Cold beer.......
