Yummy food in a family owned cafe
The food and drinks are delicious here. I specially recommend the sultan tea and the fruit juices. I very much enjoyed the warm decor and quiet setting of the cafe. The family owning and running the café is delightfull. They speak very good English and are willing to share their experiences with you, being that they are very knowledgeable about the city, batiks and the food they are serving. So much so that they recommended I visit a friend of theirs who was making incredible batik paintings just around the corner. A very warm thank you and wish you all the best =)

Chance comes when it is unexpected.
I was strolling around Taman Sari area, and saw this small cafe in the middle of the historical area. That place is looking very nice, so I paid a visit there. Ordered Nasi Campur which tasted amazing! The fact that I like about this place is that I can talk with many people I just met. Very casual.

Tasty but did not live up to the rave reviews on TA for us
We had lunch here and the food was tasty and fresh, but it did not live up to the rave reviews we had read on TA. We had a mango and a pineapple lassi which we would recommend. Not as cheap as we had expected.
