Delicious Duck Spring Rolls
My wife had the Mie Bebek Goreng and I had the Charcoal Burger. The noodles were slightly above average. Honestly, the burger was just average. The Duck Spring rolls were delicious as well as the Crispy Duck appetizer though! Staff was very friendly and prompt service. We liked the duck theme everywhere and it seemed to keep a relaxed and casual (but not too casual!) feel which we felt was charming and cute. Prices were about what you'd expect in Ubud. Very nice lunch after walking around the markets all day! What really grabbed my attention was that the staff all stopped during the non-busy hours to meet and discuss operations with what we presume were the owners over a meal together. I admire that level of dedication to review that brings all parties to the table and I hope the owners are good leaders and take their workers' input into due consideration. It's a worthy practice rarely executed in this industry.

Average, nothing more
We went there for diner for their duck speciality.. The waitresses were very welcoming and kind. We also liked the decoration that was cosy and nicely decorated. However, we were quite disappointed with the food.. We took the Bebek speciality and a plate of olive oil, garlic and chicken pasta. The meat was tasteless and as for the pasta we just received a insipid plate of pasta with just butter in it and nothing more.. no chicken, no spicies.. just buttery pasta that we could have made home ourselves with more taste. We asked for the pasta to be changed to what was indicated on the menu.. We received, 10 mn later, the same overly buttery plate with some chicken pieces and piquant oil nothing more. No spice on the pasta or the chicken, no sauce.. For what we ate, we thought that the price was way too much and not deserved.

They served up a mean bebek goreng
This time last year we were in Ubud, Bebek Sungai was celebrating their soft opening 🦆🎉. It was good to know the business was still going strong and God bless, they served up a mean bebek goreng! The half duck was not the cheapest but it was well-seasoned and fried till crispy. Sate lilit was amazingly flavoursome with moist and lemongrassy duck meat 🤤. The three accompanying sambal were especially gorgeous! Although sambal bebek was tasty, it was a little salty for my liking but sambal mangga and sambal matah were delightful just the way they were! It was a bit quiet when we came at around 8pm because the location was quite far from central Ubud but the food was definitely convincing enough to attract returning customers.
