To be perfectly frank, I’m afraid that this is the worst meal we’ve ever eaten in Bali! We were here last year for a month and explored Tejakula, Canggu, Munduk, Mengwi, Lovina and Ubud, as well as spending 20 days in Amed (10 last year, 10 this year) and we have never had such a revolting meal. Basically, I ended up only eating the rice as one morsel of beef was enough to dissuade me from their meat. It was as tough as old boots with an insipid, runny sauce. We left through the back as a short cut back to the car and let’s just say that we weren’t impressed with their food hygiene. I’m ok with things being slightly more rustic than the UK, where things can sometimes be over-sanitised, but this was enough to gross me out! Give this one a swerve and have yourselves a fantastic meal just a few yards down the beach.

Best place for food and fun
I spent 3 months in Amed and ate at Warung Segara few days per week ! They have very good and fresh sea food and indonesian dishes ! They serve huge quantity for very cheap price ! More than the quality of the food, the staff and owner are reslly friendly and welcome you as there family ! Highly recommended place to spend a nice dinner barefoot on the beach and amazing sunset view!!

Delicious food in very basic restaurant
This beach side Warung had a great location, best accessed by the main Amed beach. It looked much prettier in the dark with many coloured lights. The furniture was a bit flimsy and the sand needed a bit of sprucing. All the meals we’re between average to very good. Their black bean sauce was delish. The menu said no MSG. The prices were particularly low. Service could be improved.
