I visited here based on good reviews and i was staying nearby plus i had a craving for something local. First impressions are deceiving from the street as you walk past the busy ladies cooking in the kitchen the place really opens up towards the back into a lovely garden dining area. The restaurant was already 80% full wgen i arrived with many hungry punters turning up in great numbers behind me. I chose the spring rolls for entree and the satay chicken skewers for main. I didnt have to wait long for my food as both plates turned up together. Spring rolls were great , it was obvious they had been hand made rather than coming straight out of a freezer bag. Satay chicken was equally as good served on a banana leaf accompanied with steam rice....they were delicious. Service got a bit wobbly as the restaurant filled to capacity i was a little hard to get the attention of staff at times. Nevertheless the food is the star here , it was nice to be able to thank tbe kitchen staff directly on the way out.

a hidden paradise
don't be fooled by the exterior of this warung. it is a little oasis inside. after you venture through an ordinary entrance you suddenly find yourself in a beautiful and serene garden with a mix of tables at every level. If the scenery and atmosphere isn't enough the food is delicious and so cheap. my partner and I just kept ordering more and more and the staff could not have been nicer and were perfectly attentive. please do give this restaurant a chance...it it's soo worth it

How It Is Meant To Be
Simple, honest food and boy does it taste good. The restaurant doesn't look much from the street, but don't be fooled. Once you enter it is basically a scattering of tables and chairs in the family compound. One might say it's 'authentic'. The young lady who took my order, Nasi Goreng Ayam Special, was also the chef in this instance. Though it's a relatively simple dish it took nearly twenty minutes to arrive at my table, which to me is always a sign of good food being cooked fresh from scratch. I had asked for mine to be cooked spicy and spicy is what I got - superb. The chicken skewers were succulent with just a hint of smoky charcoal. The dish was further complemented with fresh cucumber, tomato and sweet tempe. A lovely lunch washed down with two frosty Bintangs for the paltry sum of AUD$6.50. If you're on a budget or just fancy some real honest Balinese fare then this place is going to be hard to beat - highly recommended.
