Lovely family run restaurant
Great find. Our first proper local meal in Bali at local prices. Everything cooked fresh with delicate flavours. Not a fancy looking restaurant but honest cooking. Best spring rolls so far in Bali

Nasi Campur was not up to scratch
My usual place was closed today so I decided to try the Warung Bali just off the Ubud main road. I ordered the Nasi Campur and a beer. When it was brought our the chicken was covered in this red sauce. It tasted like tomato sauce mixed with sweet and soup sauce from a jar. It was truly awful. I managed to eat what was on the plate and scraped the sauce off my chicken. The food was barely lukewarm. Never again.

Tasty and cheap
This place was deceptively quiet upon entering. Don't be put off by that. Food was cooked fresh to order, flavoursome, complex and thoroughly delicious. We had pork satay, chicken satays, tuna Pepe's(like a Thai fishcake in banana leaf)and nasi goreng and a mixed veg.The lady cooked this by herself and there was real love in it. Satays were 2000idr, nasi goreng 2500idr, large bintang under 4000. 2 Adults, 2 teenagers fed well, just right amount of heat, sambal delicious too. Happy tummies, happy wallet 21000idr. Best meal to date and we've had some good ones. Husband also local driver was nice with good english too. Plain and rustic with great food. Recommended.
