The place is not worth the hype. We unfortunately didn’t read up on TA about this place else we would have skipped it. The food is very average. It’s served very quickly and that’s when you realise that it’s been made and kept for a while, they don’t even bother heating things for you. We had just one day left in Ubud, so we actually left our meal halfway and went somewhere else!

Worth the walk down the narrow path
The location of this restaurant is down a small road and then a narrow path where you will find the lower level restaurant overlooking the gorge. Be sure to get there early enough (probably before 1pm) so that they still have all menu items as they sell out each day. I don't prefer the fried pork as it is very "fried" with little pork or flavor. However, the roast pork and the crackling skin are very very yummy. The location might be great for families, as there are some nice photo opportunities with some cockatoos they keep there just above the seating area. Take a minute to walk down behind the counter where you can view the pigs roasting!

Lunch with the locals
All the local folk know about Ibu Oka and rave about the suckling pig. We enjoyed a straight forward yet very delicious lunch, staying with the staple menu item. It’s not a fancy resultant, rather a local fav. We were also happy to see Ibu Oka herself. As I said, but fancy, but a must while in Ubud.
