Little BBQ shack at the end of the walkway, incredible
When in the tourist/resort area is Sanur get on the beach walking path and go to the left. at the far end of the path, just when you get to the lot filled with scooters is where you will find Warung Amphibia. If you love seafood this is the place. Food is bbq'd over coal and cooked with a slightly spicy sauce. Order the potato chips, they are freshly made and delicious. I haven't figured out all of the extras yet, we will be going back today for lunch. For our meal we ordered jumbo prawns and a whole fish. It was awesome, I hope the pictures do the meal justice.

We had walked past this place on previous Sanur trips and not stopped, but after reading the reviews decided to give it a go. Wow! This place deserves all the great reviews. Bring your hand cleanser because you will be eating with your hands. We tried the platter for 2 with rice and the spiral potato chips plus sambals. The Radlers at IDR20k were also the cheapest we found anywhere. Also highly recommended are the corn vendors on the beach adjacent. Definitely on the list for the next time we visit Sanur, and indeed the only reason we didn't go back for a second helping this time was because of a rainstorm that evening.

Simply delicious seafood
For simply delicious yet cheap and fresh seafood on the beach this is a great place to come. It is a very basic and authentic warung but don’t let what it looks like deter you – the food is outstanding, the view fantastic and the service is friendly and efficient. The seafood is beautifully basted and grilled over coals – you can watch your seafood being cooked if you want to but you might prefer to just relax and enjoy the ocean view from your table. When it’s busy you may need to share a table, but it was quiet when my husband and I went for lunch and we had a table on the beach by ourselves. We enjoyed a meal of mixed seafood (whole fish, shrimp, jumbo prawns and calamari) served with Balinese vegetables, sambals and curly fries. Along with a couple of Bintangs for my husband and a couple of Bintang Radlers for me, the bill was only Rp 310 000. We came here due to the great reviews on TA but also because my dad came back from a trip to Sanur raving about Warung Amphibia (he hadn’t even seen the TA reviews) and the fantastic jumbo prawns he had there – so thank you Dad and TA reviewers! We would also highly recommend this warung to others.
