Hidden Gem. Well worth a visit.
You could easily walk past this restaurant and dismiss it but don’t. Stop and go in. From the street it doesn’t look like much but it goes back a long way and you end up sitting in an amazingly pleasant setting beside a beautiful rice field with water features and small gardens all around. The service and good are both great and very reasonably priced. We had dinner there but I’m sure it is equally as lovely for lunch. We were sad to only discover it on our last evening because we would definitely have gone again.

Every time I go to Ubud, I head straight for Three Monkeys for dinner as soon as the cases are unpacked. And then I head back there for dinner on at least 2 or 3 further nights! The setting, overlooking a small rice field, is idyllic — especially at night, with the glow of tealights and lanterns. The service and management of this place is constantly faultless — prompt, friendly and professional. There is a menu to cater for all tastes and I have never had a disappointing meal there. They also serve some locally produced wines — the sparkling wine is worth a try! You can always rely on Three Monkeys to come up with the goods in terms of both food and service. I cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant and would heartily recommend!

Really enjoyed - a friend of mine and I came here one eve. We're both doing dry January so did not sample the alcohol but had a very nice coconut and lime drink. For starters, the fresh spring rolls were mouth wateringingly tasty and I had the seafood laksa which was one of the best ever. My friend had the fried date and feta spring rolls which I was allowed to taste - very good - and the tuna as recommended by the waiter. This was a very good choice! Sitting outside overlooking the rice fields was such a treat. Would definitely recommend to anyone!
