Romantic dinner

Fabulous location and wonderful attentive staff without being intrusive. Absolutely delicious food with great choices available. Extensive international wine list and yummy cocktails too!

Breathtaking Setting for Meals at any Time of the Day!

Firstly, the setting is gorgeous. I have been to several restaurants with padi field setting, but this place really elevates and romanticises the concept several notches. I went for lunch and I bet it would be even more breathtaking in the afternoon as the padi field glistens under the setting sun. Too bad for that eye sore private villa at a distance, but hopefully no more coming up! Secondly, the service was excellent. The restaurant is at the back of the resort complex, so you have to pass through the main lobby. The lady at the main lobby greeted me by ny name, which surprised me because she is not even the restaurant staff but she took effort to make her guests feel welcome. At the restaurant I was welcome by Pak Yoga, who took care of the lunch with great attention to details and effort to explain various cultural aspects of Bali. Thirdly, the food was good too! I ordered the Rijsttafel menu - it was meant to be for two, but the restaurant was kind enough to allow me to have one-person portion instead. Such flexibility is greatly appreciated. The Soto Ayam (chicken broth soup) was the best I have had in a Long while - good balance and tender chicken meat. The spicy chicken, the spicy prawn and sate Babi (pork satay) were standouts. The desserts are just as impressive - I really enjoy the coconut sorbet. Finally, what I also like was how the F&B Manager, Pak Ketut, takes constructive feedback well. Some of the minor points are Pepes ikan and rendang can be improved and to consider mixing the coconut sorbet with mango instead of pineapple. Overall, a blissful experience!
