Great British Food
Visited the Onion Bar one evening for dinner having been tempted in by the extensive menu. Very good service, my meal a sizeable lamb shank was well cooked and delicious. Great atmosphere and place seemed very popular, only drawback was the band that night. Despite having some middle aged groupies they were an acquired taste, even the lizards scurried off the illuminated sign when the Axel Rose pretender started belting out another rock anthem. Had a bit of an issue paying by credit card seems they don’t take Amex but staff very apologetic and friendly.

We were attracted to this bar as we passed as there was some fantastic live music being played. Sadly the only non alcoholic drinks were the likes of Coke or Sprite, no coffes or teas, hot or cold. We did go to eat there one night but found it a little expensive in relation to other restaurants in the area. Sadly it was closed and boarded up when we left Sanur though with the way these type of places change hands it could easily be open and under new management by now.

If you value your hearing dont go here.
We could not stay to eat. The noise of the oversimplified band was deafening. There was no other place open where we could get something to eat after a long and difficult trip back from Lombok during volcanic eruption. Better to wait for breakfast than to go deaf.
