Dated, dirty, disappointing
Distinctly average. I persuaded my boyfriend to go to the edge for sundowners..... I should of done my research as the edge is south facing, so no sunset to be seen! We were met at the entrance by a woman who informed us, to enter we had to pre pay £40(ish) as our minimum spend. Not realising the sunset situation we thought we’d pay as we’d probably get a bite to eat whilst there as from Instagram photos it looked amazing! We were taken in a little buggy to a sectioned off area where we were immediately pounced upon my staff demanding our drinks order. We hadn’t even been given a menu! Once we had our menu another member of staff popped up seconds later to take our order so we panic ordered some drinks to get them off our backs. We were told to sit on a dirty looking day bed which we declined as it was getting dark and didn’t feel lying down was what we fancied that night. I requested that we moved to the other side of the pool as it looked much nicer. We were told that was for hotel guests only & moved to an equally dirty looking sofa. It became VERY apparent that we were in the pauper section (to be fair if I’d spent up to £1000 for a room here I wouldn’t want to mix with the riff raff either!) so, we were stuck. We needed to spend our minimum spend & get out of there! Drinks were alright, food was good but the staff were oppressive & didn’t appear to be in charge of a select number of tables each, it was just a free for all & we were asked to order drinks from 3 separate members of staff despite us having already ordered them! As night fell the mood lights came on, trees were lit up & the whole place looked really pretty. Ultimately I think I misjudged what the edge was about. I think the intention with the minimum spent etc is for you to spend the day there as a sort of day club scenario but if that’s what you’re looking for.... go to OMNIA!

Too crowded, too expensive and too Hot !!!!
The bar is spectacular, perched down the cliff facing the west to watch the setting sun. But ever man and his dog knows about it so it get VERY crowded. Facing the west the setting sun bores down on you and gets reflected off the cliff face making the place extremely hot and uncomfortable. They even give you umbrellas to hide under. DON'T GO!!!! Watch the setting sun from Jimbaran Bay instead then enjoy a seafood dinner on the beach.
