Delicious soto in Bandung
I traveled for 6 weeks in Indonesia and this soto ayam was one of my favorite food experiences. (And I like to eat!) The chicken soup is filling and flavorful, just delicious. I liked it so much I went back twice! Located not too far from Jl. Braga and the Museum Asia Africa, totally worth seeking out. Herry the owner is super friendly and genuinely cares about the quality of the food he prepares. For the food and the friendly service, I will recommend this restaurant to any of my friends who travel in Java.

Totally out of authenticity...
I went to Soto Semarang Pak Hadi at BSD,The taste was so so..nothing special. What suprised me is the Perkedel,it was not fried! You may say Steamed Mashed Potato...!!! And the seller said thats how Perkedel served in Semarang! Whaaaaat!! I was born i Semarang and spent 20 years, never ever seen those kind of perkedel... Dont sell semarang food if you dont know how to served it....

A nice warm lunch
Just have it. Its located only 5 minutes walk from my office. The spice is just a right amount for creating a clear chicken soto. With a warm rice and a glass of iced tea will make my lunch just perfect. They also served beef soto. Besides the Soto, they also have 'bacem tempe' (bacem =sweet spice, using brown sugar, garlic, coriander and other), bacem tahu, bacem telor puyuh and Lunpia Semarang. Its open from 9 am to around 6 pm. The place is located in small steet, in a small bulding/house and maybe not look convincing, but the taste is good. Its the place that make the rating average, not the taste. The price is consider cheap for the taste. I only spend Rp. 24k (~USD $ 2) for a portion of rice, clear chicken Soto, a glass of sweet iced tea and a bag of Kerupuk/chips.
