A little disappointed
We had 2 dinners over 3 days in Soon Kee restaurant in Tanjong Benoa as it was a 5-minute walk from our hotel, Grand Mirage. We had fish, prawn, duck & vegetable on both occasions. The waitresses here are very friendly and patient. The problem is on our second visit, is when a group of mainland Chinese of 10+ walks in, a male supervisor told us to move table, so that they could accommodate the larger group to sit next to each other. I don't mind that...but soon after, everything goes array. Food taste bland, except for the roast duck. Our drinks never came... Well...my advise is when you see a larger group of people patronizing this place, stay clear. It's obvious this restaurant is NOT a cheap eat...yet you are totally neglected when a larger group comes in.

Great prices, delicious food, friendly service
Right across from our resort, the peninsular. We stumbled across it by accident on third day of the trip and it was so good, we kept going back every night. Seafood dishes were especially great, and so were the various tofu and vegetable dishes we tried.

Surprisingly authentic Chinese seafood
This restaurant is right next to our hotel, with a very humble looking front that is no different from any of the local food store. So despite walking pass by it everyday, we never was attracted to this place until my wife saw it on a travel guide. Omg was I in for a huge surprise, the staff may seem a little confusing to communicate with, but their food are so authentic, it is not easy to get such good Chinese food even in China. Highly recommended for all who want some authentic Chinese food, seafood, duck and everything else.
