Nice ambience, but slow coffee service
Yogyakarta has much grown up with businesses, including the coffee shops where you can see almost everywhere in this small province. The Simetri is not exception. It has nice ambience of vintage nuance housed in an old building. Food was served fast, standard. But it missed its main service: the coffee. More than half an hour for only 2 cups of coffee. I liked black coffee; manual brew would have been fantastic as the machine was broken at Ied celebration. Extraordinarily long waiting after finishing all the meals. That's too bad.

Here's why I can't get along with this awesome place
Coffee is great, the guys are awesome and friendly, atmosphere is nice, food is great. But, Simetri's not for me. My judgement is very subjective, that's why I gave this place a 4, still. And here's why I can't get along with the place (I've tried many times, I swear). It's maybe because I come with expectations, of temperature, coziness (seatings or desk), and access to electricity. In the floor seating, the desks are too high. Some of the dining tables are unstable. And the long desk in the southeast room has tiny space for your thighs. I'm 162/52 and my thighs couldn't fit happily there. Inside, it's too cold (at least for me - I could've asked them guys to adjust the temp, but I don't wanna do it every time and bother other customers who are happy with the temp, right?). And outside, at 10 am-3 pm, it's super hot in dry season because it's Jogja. I also find the pricing was not suitable for daily visit (if you go coffeeshopping for work like me). Another down, no praying room. But guys, you behind the bar. You're doing great. Great food, great service, again. I would visit Simetri if it's not for working.
