They tried, did'nt succeed. Me anf my boyfriend tried the set menus. We were very disappointed as we after leaving started to question how feesh the seafood really was. I'm a vegetarian and told them so, did'nt get an egg with my fried rice, but it was fried on blood and meatjuices left from a previous dish. It was teppanyaki made food, I did'nt know alot about that and felt that the staff should have explained that almost all of my food was made on the same surface as the meat and fish. The same utensils were used as well. The veg sushi, miso and potato soup was really good tho.

Wow this Restaurant is a must.
This restaurant is amazing - fabulous food and very reasonable prices. If you want to try something a bit different this is the place to go. Since I have been there I want to buy a Japanese recipe book and try cooking this food myself. The degustation menu cooked in front of you by a chef with amazing flair is an experience not to be missed. Not only that but the alcohol is very reasonably priced as well. The owner Ray, is always there to make sure you get amazing service.. I am going to give it 5 Stars.

A break from the "every day"
We live in North Bali and eat good local Indonesian food everyday so on this occasion, having made the long journey south we wanted something different. It had been a very long, busy day so we didn't want to go far from our hotel for a good dinner. This was a real find only a couple of minutes walk. We were treating our friend who has never eaten this style of Japanese food before. Ray the owner made us very welcome and offered advice on the selection (it can be a but daunting to a beginner); it was refreshing to see he did not simply try to push the most expensive dishes. In the end we all opted for one of the set teppanyaki menus especially because it included a lamb dish, which is a rare treat for us; we were not disappointed. The grill chef was competent, his show was fun but not over the top and the food was excellent, made with quality ingredients. The price for the meal was very reasonable, although as we had also indulged in apero cocktails plus a bottle of wine with our meal and a sake to finish the final bill was a bit inflated - alcohol is very expensive in Indonesia! Next time we will try the shabu-shabu
