Amazing Place and Amazing People
I have been going to Sheppy's for 7 years now and it's still my favourite restaurant. As a Australian i do tend to eat mostly local dishes and occasionally have something western. The staff at Sheppy's have always Amazed me with the extra help they give travelers to their country. The security will help you get over the road then the staff offer cold towels so you can cool off. Then there is maps available to help you can find your way around Kuta/Legian easier and on the back is some great translations to learn some basic Balinese language. The owners and staff are great at helping travelers find shops, tours, get medical help to whatever they need even to lend a esky for the day. One day a person came in and said he had been ripped off by the money changer near by so the security guard went with him and got it sorted. The toilets are always kept clean and have now have new hand rails put on the doorway and by the toilet for people needing assistance. If you are in Bali and want a Great feed or just a friendly face then this is it.

Nice Meal and Cold Drinks
Went to Sheppy's on Melasti Street. Walking towards the beach down Melasti Street, it is across the road and near to the intersection fo Melasti St and Garlic Lane. We had a nice lunch there and the food was nice and not too expensive. They seemed to have a lot of regulars who knew the owners, plus the owners took the time to have a chat at the tables which was nice of them. We would go there again.

Could be better
I followed a recommendation to finally go to Sheppy's and I was left a little flat. Reasonable food at comparable prices to others in the area and good quality customer service despite the staff being swamped but a real pain to only do cash. Very noisy place which reminded me of an Australian pub along the coast heading into new years eve.
