I had one dish, a mango and a beer and it came to 280,000 rupees. They showed me a menu with no prices on it. They didn't speak English at all and while the dish names in the menu were in English, there was no description. The ambiance was charmless. The dish was the house special- pepper crab. There was very little meat on the crab at all, I crunched through bone after bone but to no avail. It was drenched in sticky black pepper sauce. Quite nice but primarily sugar mixed with pepper. A man came and asked if I wanted a mango . I assumed this was part of the dish so I accepted. A huge plate of Mango arrived. When the bill arrived, it turns out the mango cost 60 000 rupees. Overall I think I was ripped off as a tourist. Pity. I cannot recommend this place. It's strange that many reviewers who do recommend it only give it 3 stars!

Good tasting. High price. Average experience.
This restaurant specializes in grilled seafood, cooked to local Indonesian tastes. Serving portion is good, and taste is pretty good too. BUT the price is actually quite high, making the whole experience to be kind of average. My Tip: If you can't take spicy food, be sure to inform the waitress beforehand. The food, being suited to local taste, can be pretty spicy.

Indonesian Spicy Food
Most of the food I ate here was spicy and it didn't agree with my stomach. I however still did enjoy the food. We had Crab, Squid with Eggs (New experience), Bambu Shellfish, Kang Kung with Belachan along with a couple of drinks. It ended costing us 621,000 IDR which was a decent price. Not the most flashy restaurant but still good value for 2 people. It may not be the place to take children who don't like spicy food as there won't be too much here. Certainly worth a try if you like spicy food. I think the rating is somewhere between Average and Very Good.
