First class in all respects
The staff, the food, the setting at SeaSalt is perfection. It is for sure a five star dinning experience but with a casual elegant feel Bali should have. The menu is extensive, but Tailored with a varied mix of French Italian and Bali dishes. I would choose the set menu, as it is well thought out and delicious each night. The sound of the Sea, gentle fountains attentive staff create a truly lovely and surprisingly affordable evening. The hotel Alila is equally fantastic and has banned all use of plastic as should the entire country of Indonesia. So please support this great chef and this environmentally progressive Business, Alila Hotels. I look forward to a much longer visit next time.

The best restaurant we found in Bali
Fantastic food and great service. The prices are higher than elsewhere but the quality makes it worthwhile.

Venturing out of the resort
On the one evening we decided to eat out of Amankila we decided to try Seasalt @ the Alila. Not that far from Amankila we were dropped off by the hotel car at the entrance. The Alila has a nice open welcoming lobby/reception with the restaurant tucked into the corner with views of the sea and beach. As it was night we couldn’t see too much but as we you’re sat within a stones throw away from the water the whole effect is calming and relaxing. We opted for their megibung set. We had done a megibung the day before at the Amankila which was impressive although too much food. Seasalt’s version was about 75% of our previous one and was just right portion wise. Pricing was noticeably cheaper though. I’d say Seasalt’s is simpler in presentation but quality was there and taste and flavouring on the mark. The highlight was the beef - reminded us of Beef Rendang. Service was warm and friendly throughout.
