Wow the risotto !!
After a long day trip we all wanted some nice Italian for dinner. Sasa wasn’t far from our Villa and after reading reviews on trip advisor we were sold. The service was excellent so attentive and friendly. After we had ordered our meals one of our friends wasn’t feeling well so we asked if her meal could be put in a container as takeaway. No problems at all the staff were straight onto it. The garlic bread and bruschetta was awesome. I had the risotto and it was amazing everyone enjoyed their meals so much so that we ordered another two meals to share. The portion size is fine but we wanted to taste a few more dishes we got the lasagne and the Nochi and it was so good. We left in food coma’s but was worth it. I already know I will calling in again for a sneaky risotto during our stay. Well worth a visit.

Very good Italian food and good atmosphere
Arrived early at Bali yesterday and were hungry while waiting for our villa to be ready a few steps away from Sasa Resto. The appearance of the Resto was very nice and very clean (and pretty new). We stepped around 14:00 and it was not completely full. Ordered Spaghetti Vongole and 2 pizza’s. Too early for those tempting cocktails though. Staff super friendly and quick. Spaghetti were perfect boiled, the sauce and mussels (they ran out of Vongole) were as at my preferred Italian Resto at home. Very tasty and not too big as a portion, not too small either. The pizzas for the kids were thin and having nice crust. Also very good. The juice for the kids was fresh squeezed. Overall a very positive experience and recommendable. Why not 5 points? Food already on a high level, But I am a believer that everything has potential to improve (e.g. some more local wines, which are very nice). Will go there again for sure!

Sasa was a quaint and quiet Italian place near my hotel. I was craving pasta, so I stopped and was given so much more. I ordered garlic bread, gnocchi, focaccia and chocolate mousse (when I type it out I realize why I was so full and had to bring the focaccia back to the hotel). Each item was delicious! The gnocchi was cooked perfectly and baked in cheese (on the menu they warn it takes 15minutes to cook, but I didn’t mind waiting - they brought out the garlic bread before too, so I had something to snack on). The chocolate mousse was a great texture, rich and smooth. The focaccia was warm, soft and seasoned with salt, olive oil and rosemary - it was divine. The staff spoke enough English to understand me and were very pleasant. Try this little taste of Italy where you wouldn’t expect it.
