Delicious and cheap
What an array of delicious Indonesian food. My husband and I had a huge lunch for about AU$8 for two.

I love this joint when I come to Sanur... always hassling my boyfriend to take me. The food is consistent and always an extensive range. The terong (eggplant) is the best here. Mmmmmmm.

The best Nasi Padang in Sanur !
I'm Indonesian who has been living overseas for 17 years, but can't stop craving for Nasi Padang. The first day after I landed in Bali, I asked my driver to take me to Rumah Makan Padang right away. So he took me here. I was like a kid in candy store. First of all, the variety of dishes offered in this restaurant could rival the ones in Jawa & Sumatra. And for a recent plant-based eater like myself, the variety of non-meat selections are abundant. I ordered a plate of rice with Jengkol balado, eggplant, boiled cassava leaves and a spoonful of gravy from vegetable curry (gulai). OMG ! It was tasty, delicious and hit the spot. Is so good, that I keep thinking about it Even when I'm home few weeks later, 10,000 miles away. Did I mention that it's open 24 hours ? With a glass of orange juice, my meal cost me Rp 30,000 (less than USD$3). I'm happy that no tourist flocking this place to keep the price reasonable for locals to enjoy.
