Great spot. Great satay!
On our third night in Candidasa we chose the Samuh just up from our motel, and like all of the other restaurants we have frequented we were on our own. We had a table on a grassed area with a view out to the surrounding islands.....beautiful. Service was friendly and prompt and the beer was cold. I ordered a chicken satay and my wife the spring rolls. Both were excellent. The satay sauce had just the right balance of peanut flavours and spice that complemented the chicken nicely. The accompaniment of salad and rice was well matched to the satay chicken. The spring rolls were crispy on the outside and moist and delicious inside. For dessert I ordered black sticky rice and banana and it was a miss for me. Too runny and dirty in flavour....and I have had heaps of these on my trips to Bali. None the less we enjoyed the ambience of Samuh and the satay was right up there. Come to Candidasa!

Great seaview, good food
Nice little menu of local and western cuisine. Try the Club Sandwich and the Garlic Bread! Burgers are too small. Otherwise delicious, very friendly service and a great location.

Peaceful, relaxing gem - best breakfast by far
We only stumbled upon this place because it was so close to our hotel and wanted a change of pace. What a happy accident! After that we were back every day. For starters, the view is incredible. It's right up at the water's edge, and has a beautiful view of the ocean. So peaceful and an amazing way to start your day watching the waves slowly roll in. The breakfast options are simple, either Balinese or American. The Balinese was great: Fresh fruit, Black sticky rice, a delicious sauced cut of cooked pumpkin, breaded fried sweet banana, white sticky rice with lentils. Topped with just a bit of shredded toasted coconut and a drizzle of brown sugar. A wonderful meal. And if you're looking for something more western, their American breakfast was perfect. Choice of two eggs any style (including the fluffiest omlette I've ever had, lightly filed with diced onion and scallions), two strips of good bacon, grilled tomato and mushroom. It's definitely worth a visit. The restaurant is located in the hotel Genggong. It has a small white sign on the street as the only marker. We just walked up the long driveway to the hotel, asked and the front desk person led us to the restaurant. Note, the driveway isn't all that fancy, but the place is very nice. Clean spot and friendly staff.
