Ready-to-eat Sundanese Restaurant
Went to this restaurant many, many times with my family. Usually visited the restaurant in the weekend during lunch time, and it was usually crowded. The open air restaurant is located close to Jalan Sunda and Jalan Veteran. Parking can be hard to get by and there's usually a waiting line during weekend, so make sure you arrive early. Just like in nasi padang restaurant, when you get your table the waiters will immediately place plates of foods & lalapan on the table while taking orders of drinks and other dishes (pepes). Our family likes the fried chicken, pepes, cimplung (but the recently fried ones, because they're quite oily when they're cold), and not to forget the super-hot, freshly made sambal. For me they taste just OK. Price-wise, I'd think they're quite affordable (lower than IDR 50k/pax). The restaurant can be noisy and crowded at times, and not much room between the tables.

So in short, Sambel Hejo Natuna is the kind of place that opens at 10 and sold out at 4, yes im not even joking. Sambel Hejo Natuna is one of the most iconic lunch destination in Bandung, why? because its bloody delicious and surprisingly affordable since the place is always quite crowded. Sambel Hejo Natuna is a restaurant that serves you by putting lots of food in your table and you just pick what ever u want to eat and pay for what you eat only, so its more less like a Nasi Padang restaurant type. My personal choice to eat there is the Ayam Goreng, Baby Fish, and Pepes.

It Taste's Better than it Looks
A hidden gem of a restaurant for local Sundanese food. The place is usually pretty crowded but we always can find a table. This is a very fast moving place with waiters continually rushing around with their arms full of plates. The food is actually very delicious and not at all expensive. For the locals, this place is well know. It is definitely worth a visit if you want some authentic delicious Sundanese food. Ignore the decor and look of the place and see how crowded it is and ask yourself why.
