Another look at Safron
My last review of the Aston hotel and Saffron came after many hours of flying, my only goal was to watch soccer, drink beer and go to bed. I am sure I was less than pleasent and by the end of the night I got 1 beer, service was nonexistent that night. Okay. Move forward to the rest of the week. The staff makes this place! By the second day they all new my name, what I like in my coffee and how I like my eggs. The room was kept beautifully. Doormen were on point. Food, if there is room for improvement it is with the food, not bad and after a week no issues with freshness. Best meal is their breakfast. Sprawling buffet, coffee on demand hot milk and these little chocolate filled crescent rolls that are not to be missed. Lunch and dinner are not the best. Dishes lack flavor and I am not a fan of their beef. For a vacation or business trip the hotel sits in the heart of the fabric district and near the rail stations. I will be back!

Great Breakfast Exprience
Had breakfast here, my first impression was this restaurant has a spacious space, great ambiance and garden for smooking area, really nice! For selection of food, there was Shabu-Shabu, Sushi, Javanese Food, Western Food, Jamu, Fresh Juice and Indonesian Food. For me, it’s quite lot of choice to fill my palate. The one I love is their eggstation, pastry, salad bar, grilled chicken and sausages (they cook it well & has smooky flavor). My recommendation was their Croissant, perfect! You can have breakfast here while staying at Grand Aston Jogjakarta.

Not the best food in town
Good service, but food is not at the height of the price (high price for locals with mid quality level). Mocktail was good.
