Used to be extra ordinary
I just visited Shantung last Sunday, with some friends who were the first timer. We ordered Lindung Cah Fumak, ayam kungpao, kuotiek, kodok goreng mentega. I was very fond of their Lindung Cah Fumak that gave very strong fermented red rice taste, and the crunches of the deep fried lindung. We even re ordered for the second round. I was disappointed by the kungpao chicken and the kodok, the chicken is very different from what I imagined will be and the taste was average flat meanwhile the kodok was ok but the sauce mentega was not that good. So we ordered Udang Gulung Babi asam manis and it turns out like the hidden gem of this place. It was spicy hot sour but wonderfully mixed well. Even the waitress said that this menu isn't the most popular here but it was better than two others popular menu I mentioned. Shantung still preserves their home cooking Chinese food style which is good.

"Shantung" dishes plus Indian vegetarian menu
This cozy little Chinese restaurant is famous for "Shantung" style cuisine and especially famous for its' Sui Kiau and Kuo Tie (boiled and fried pork dumplings). Other dishes recommended includes Ta Lu mien and seafood hotplates. This eatery is also popular amongst Indians due to its location in the Pasar Baru vicinity and also because they have also Indian vegetarian dishes on offer. Prices are reasonable.
