Love the cimplung!
For 1st timer, you'll get confused, because they don't give out menu book. Instead they instantly served you with hot teas and set up big empty plates. After 3min, they bring out a bucket of rice and their signature dish: fried chicken, fried tiny fish, different kinds of pepes, sambel ati, fried corn fritters, fried tofu tempe, and of course cimplung!! It was a nice lunch. Well the fried chicken is very small, but it was very cheap too. Sambal ati was oke. The green sambel was spicy and sour. The cimplung was the best. A bit oily, but oh well, it's a once for a while dish. Beside you cannot have this dish easily anywhere else. After we finished eating, the waiter would come and check the leftover. So we will be charged by pieces, not portion (unless for sambel of course). I believe you can order some other food and drinks, but we didn't bother to ask further and just enjoy the food available. Cheers.

A very recommend restaurant to eat. Me & my friends was eat at sambel hejo in natuna street. They serve the food very quick like in padang restaurant, just a couple minute after we seat then they serve all the food. The fried chicken even the size small but is tasty and also the cimplung that i only found 1st time in here. For people that like sambal, this place offer 2 type of sambal like level 1 and level 2. And after all the price is very cheap. Like it like it!!

Superb Option to Have Sundanese Food
This place is actually one of underrated Sundanese restaurant in Bandung. Too bad indeed. This place serves a good food and great services. Once you sit, the waiter will serve you various dishes that consist of fried chicken, various steamed wrapped food (pepes), fresh vegetables (lalapan), fried tofu and tempeh, corn fritter, cimplung (made of potato i believe), and their famous sambel hejo (fresh green chili sambal). Additionally, they will hand you a menu for additional food you would like to order. My recommendation is to try ALL the food, because they all taste superb, especially the sambal. It is so fresh, that you will need more rice to eat. My advise was to go right before or after the lunch time, because the place will be crowded and packed. However, if you have issues with savory, this place is not for you. Not to mention that it is a very affordable place to eat with very reasonable price, so don't hesitate to drop some tip for the staff. Would recommend this place to anyone when in Bandung.
