Ntah kenapa kalo kesini belum menemukan nasi rawon yang enak... Jumat kemarin saya bersama pasangan kesini makan siang dan kami pesan nasi rawon, tahu pong,ice lychee dan nasi timlo... Semua masakan nya hampir tidak ada rasa, mensiasati nya adalah saya menambahkan sambal pedas yang tersedia dimeja... Ini kedua kalinya, kesan pertama saya makan malam bersama pasangan dan di waktu itu makanan yang keluar enak dan masih hangat tapi kali ini beda... Ya kalau kesini jangan terlalu berekspetasi ya. Average Javanese Dishes
This restaurant has another branch which i came for lunch, is located at Cideng, Tomang, West Jakarta. You can find variety of Javanese Dishes here. I think this location is a bit hard to reach by visitors. At first, I order Timlo with Rice, Timlo is one of Central Java cuisine, consists of soy sauce egg, shredded chicken, and special Javanese sausage combined in one bowl of soup. The taste is okay but the portion is too small for one person. I order Gado-Gado for the next one, Gado-Gado in Indonesian literary means "mix-mix" since it is made of rich mixture of vegetables such as potatoes, string beans, bean sprouts, spinach, chayote, bitter gourd, corn and cabbage, with tofu, tempeh and hard-boiled eggs, all mixed in peanut sauce dressing. The taste is too sweet and I don't like it at all. The service here is not good because when I made additional orders, the waiters always forget and we have to remind them few times. The place is hot at noon because the outdoor seating - smoking side is located near to indoor seating and the door often opened, so you can't feel the Air Conditioner. Last but not least, the price here is also too high for the small portion. So, think about it twice before you come here.

Good place to eat for East Java food
This place is located in Megaria complex, an old movie theater that still exist till today. Specialized in East Java cuisine, you'll find stranger name and spices for the food. Try Soto Rawon, a brownish broth made from Kluwek spice that strangely delicious. Completed with all condiments like slice of lime, salted egg, beans frut, soy sauce and mix it to get the your personal balance taste. For a side dish , i was having Tahu Gimbal means Fermentated Tofu. Again, with brownish broth cause by soy sauce.Taste sweet and soft from local tofu. Most of east Java cuisine color is brown either by spices or soy sauce. The interior of the place is remind you of waroeng setting. With long wood benches and tables by big window with Dutch style feels like throwing back to the colonial time.
